Meet Our Fitness Staff
Assistant Manager, Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer - Recreation, Deanna Grady Originally from Vernon, New Jersey Deanna moved to Florida in high school, than attended Flagler College and received a bachelors of Arts in Psychology. In college she started working out in local gyms and all her studies where related to health and fitness. After graduating she became a personal trainer because she believes people can be counseled through healing the inside first with a healthy body creating a healthy mind. Her passion for fitness grew and she now operates the Fitness Center, Aquatics, and Recreation at MLCC.
Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist - Leona Douglass
Leona Douglass has returned to Jacksonville and Marsh Landing Country Club after 8 years of travel to 103 countries! She is ready to help our members obtain new fitness goals and better over all health through personal training and massage therapy. She has been an ACE certified trainer for 12 years, a Licensed Massage Therapist for 9 years, and an Advanced Reiki Practitioner for 14 years. Her massage techniques include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Medical, Prenatal, Sports, and Thai massage from Bangkok. She is a UNF graduate from the Sports Medicine/Athletic Training program and specializes in sports conditioning and rehabilitation. She is excited to be back home and ready to start training you. Aerobics Instrucor, Rebecca Hardin O'Neil Rebecca started her career as a professional ballet dancer at the age of 16 with The International Ballet Co. in South America. She then went to Connecticut and performed with The Connecticut Ballet Co. and also with The Hartford Ballet Co. Her career continued in Virginia with The Tidewater Ballet and also in Miami with The Mary Luft Modern Dance Ensemble. She spent her last 11 years dancing here in Jacksonville with The Florida Ballet Co. During that time she owned and operated her own ballet school and incorporated a fitness program teaching a variety of classes. Her certifications include Pilates through Polestar and personal training and group fitness through AFAA. Here at Marsh Landing she teaches Pilates, Physio Ball conditioning, The Barre Method, Low Impact aerobics, Step Aerobics with weight training and Spin.
